Bubbly Maths

Idea adapted from Stephanie Magel, Torrance, CA

Task: Students to determine which brand of dishwashing liquid produces the biggest bubble.

Method:
Blowing a straw into some solution poured onto the table.
Measure the diameter of the liquid left on the table once the bubble pops.
Record the measurements.

Assessment:
1) What is the scientific approach taken to do this activity?
2) Create a bar graph to compare the data they have collected.
3) Present the data via podcast/powerpoint/MS producer
